WROD 1340 AM went on the air in 1947.

The station is on the air 24-7, 365 days a year.

In 2007, we were off the air for 9 days as we tore down and re- built our tower in order to give our listeners the best technical sound possible.

In March 2010, we relocated our offices to downtown Daytona Beach and are currently broadcasting from 100 Marina Point Drive Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Our transmitter and tower are still located at 103 Wilder Blvd at the south end of Beach Street.

The station format is comprised of America's Best Music from the 50's and 60's! We feature artists such as: Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Connie Francis, and The Schirelles to name a few!

WROD is live weekday mornings from 6:00 AM till 10:00 AM Monday thru Friday with DJ Cadillac Jack Stevens and each weekday afternoon from 3:00 PM till 6:00 PM with DJ Dave Schulz. Also, each Saturday from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM Cadillac Jack does an "All Request Live Show". Each live show is filled with great music, contests, and valuable prizes!

WROD 1340 AM is a privately owned company. It's owned by Volusia Broadcasting Company, LLC and, as such, we are supported by the local businesses who advertise their products and services on the station.
